Career
On both sides of the table
He works mainly in property law, out-of-court negotiation in debt enforcement cases and commercial and company law. He studied law at Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa and also qualified as a business organisation technician, so he can read both the contract and the company's accounts.
Because he has acted for creditors and for debtors, he rarely lets an enforcement case go ahead without first checking whether an agreement is possible. He acts for Portuguese and foreign companies, including groups, on their strategy, on the running of their deals and on negotiating the agreements that close them.
He also takes on criminal cases and regulatory offences, and has considerable experience in family law and succession.
“These are the precepts of the law: to live honestly, to harm no one, to give everyone what is theirs.”
